Just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday, the Sacramento Police and Fire Departments responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Stockton Blvd. and Perry Ave.
A victim was located in the 4500 block of 53rd Street with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Shell casings were located in the roadway on Stockton Blvd., just south of Perry Ave.
The victim was transported to the hospital via paramedic ambulance with a tourniquet applied to his leg to control bleeding.
Stockton Blvd. was shut down in both directions between Perry Ave. and Lawrence Drive during the investigation.
