Just before 2 a.m. Saturday, a male subject was witnessed running from K Street, behind Mangos and to the parking lot adjacent to Mangos, to jump into his gray pickup truck.

As the subject started the vehicle, he abruptly backed into the gold vehicle, smashing into the driver's side quarter panel of the car, right in front of the driver's door. Then after a brief pause, the driver attempted to speed away down the driveway behind Mangos toward K Street, where he encountered security staff in the area.

Security staff hailed Sacramento Police Officers less than a block away. Officers arrived on scene and issued a field sobriety test as well as a breathalyzer test. Subsequently, the driver was arrested and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail.
