We were 2nd on scene, before CHP and Fire and assisted w/ scene safety and traffic control until fire arrived.

The vehicle crashed into the "attenuator barrels" on the right-hand shoulder, protecting drivers from the cement Jersey Barriers on the right-hand shoulder. Firefighters stated that those barrels likely saved his life, otherwise he would have slammed directly into the end of the barriers.

The driver was uninjured and CHP was investigating the scene. We were unable to find out if speed or alcohol were a factor in the incident.
