DETAILS FROM THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

At approximately 1:27 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, the Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call from a resident in a large apartment complex on the 5500 block of Harrison Street in Sacramento County. The resident requested a welfare check on a subject living alone in an apartment. The caller stated, two days prior, on December 12, other residents said they heard a gunshot and shattering glass. Since that time, no one had been seen entering or leaving the apartment.

Deputies arrived a few minutes later and located the apartment which had a shattered sliding glass door. Once inside, deputies found an adult male subject who was obviously deceased.

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene, interviewed witnesses, and gathered evidence. There is no suspect or further information available at this time.

The identity of the victim, in this case, will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
