Monday night, once again shots rang out in Sacramento’s historical Old Sacramento. Two victims were injured and transported to the hospital. But Monday night’s incident is just one more notch added to Sacramento’s Downtown violence gunbelt. After SacPD’s statement below, see the partial list of PSN’s posts from Sacramento’s Downtown shots fired, shooting, and homicide incidents just since March of this year.

THIS IS A DIRECT REPOST FROM THE SACRAMENTO POLICE DEPARTMENT

“ Officers responded to a report of a shooting. Two victims, both adult males, were located at the scene with gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

“Both victims were last reported to be in stable condition. Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears to be an isolated incident where an altercation between two groups escalated which resulted in the shooting. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. Officers canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses. A crime report was generated, and the incident was forwarded to detectives for further investigation.”

Old Sacramento and Downtown Sacramento has been plagued with a significant crime up-tick this year and unprecedented shootings/shots fired incidents for the historical tourist spot in California’s Capitol City and Downtown Sacramento:
