THIS IS A DIRECT REPOST FROM THE SACRAMENTO POLICE DEPARTMENT MEDIA RELEASE

On Saturday, May 22, 2021 at approximately 10:24 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 3900 block of Streamline St after several callers reported hearing gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located two adult male victims who each sustained at least one gunshot wound. One victim was declared deceased on scene by responding personnel from the Sacramento Fire Department. The second victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is in critical but stable condition.

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have responded to take over the investigation. Detectives will be conducting a canvass of the area for witnesses and evidence. The circumstances that led up to this shooting are under investigation however based on preliminary information detectives do believe this shooting is an isolated incident. There is no suspect information to provide at this time.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
