Just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, crews from the Sacramento Fire and Sacramento Police Departments were called to the scene of a vehicle rollover accident that occurred on the narrow roadway of 24th Street, just north of W Street, in the Midtown area of Sacramento.

When Engine 4 arrived on scene, they encountered a solo vehicle on it's side in the middle of the roadway. The driver, who appeared unharmed and standing; was trying to figure out how to get out of the vehicle.

As firefighters navigated him to the rear of the vehicle, he was able to exit through the rear tailgate with no need of extrication.

As the fire crews departed, the driver underwent a field sobriety test (FST), and breath test; after which he was place in handcuffs and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail.

There were no injuries in this incident, and one other vehicle sustained light damage and was pushed up on the curb.
