At approximately 2:12 p.m. on Monday April 12, 2021, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call from a resident on the 5700 block of Dewey Boulevard in South Sacramento stating a bullet came through the wall of their house but no one was hit and there were no injuries. An additional caller from the same block requested medical help for a male subject who appeared to have a gunshot wound.

Deputies responded to the location and found an adult male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Deputies started life saving measures. Fire arrived moments later and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

CSI collected evidence, witnesses were interviewed and Homicide detectives are investigating. No suspect information nor any further information is available at this time.

The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after identification and notification of next of kin.
