Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, the California Highway Patrol became engaged in a, "failure to yield" pursuit in the Arden Arcade area.

The assailant lead the pursuit to Business 80 and headed west (south) toward Downtown Sacramento. He exited the freeway in the Midtown area of Sacramento, and continued to lead officers through parts of Midtown, sometimes backtracking and going in the wrong direction on city one-way streets. Eventually, the pursuit ended in front of the Sacramento County Main jail on I Street in Downtown.

The subject was compliant and taken into custody without further incident. We heard via radio traffic that the subject was wanted out the Bay Area for Felony Evading, but we have not been able to confirm that as of the time of this posting.

We have no further details on this incident.
