Late Tuesday night, Sacramento Police officers and CSI were investigating the scene of a shooting which had occurred at the Executive Inn and Suites located at the corner of Bercut Drive and Bannon Street in the River District of Sacramento.
Sacramento Police officers tell us that no one was injured in the gunfire, however a third story hotel room was apparently the target.
Crime Scene Investigators documented the scene and collected evidence while officers canvased the area and took statements from witnesses.
At the time of this posting, very few details were available regarding the incident however Bannon Street was shut down until all the evidence had been collected and CSI cleared from the scene.
The River District is located just north of Downtown Sacramento proper and is the up-and-coming hub of business and commerce for the area with a massive, high rise business complex under construction, Kaiser Hospital, professional soccer stadium and more. It is the home of the California Lottery Headquarters, CHP Headquarters and more major projects on tap.
