Tuesday evening, officers from the Sacramento Police Department became engaged in a pursuit with a a tan pickup truck, through parts of the Hagginwood area of Sacramento.
At one point during the pursuit, in the 1200 block of Rivera Drive, the subject opened fire at the officers, striking one of the police vehicles at least twice, according to police radio traffic.

The Sacramento police department was involved in a pursuit and shooting with Albert Dean Wheeler. Wheeler was last seen wearing a grey tank top, black basketball shorts and black Nike shoes. Wheeler is considered armed and dangerous and may be in possession of a firearm.
