…the Sacramento Police Department has confirmed that their target is in custody.
UPDATE AT 6:20PM
According to police radio traffic, the suspect has just surrendered to SWAT operators and is in custody.
INITIAL POST
Right now, the Sacramento Police Department states they have a barricaded subject, believed to be armed with a handgun, in an apartment at the Cannery Place apartments just north of Richards Blvd.
The subject is wanted in a felony assault earlier in the day.
Occupants of the complex are encouraged to shelter in place.
