An investigation is underway after a fire broke out overnight inside a building at KCRA's Downtown studios.

The fire broke out around midnight inside an older building that is along 10th Street, north of D Street.

Due to the location of the fire inside the building, and difficulty accessing, a second alarm was called. Firefighters were eventually able to access the fire and extinguish it.

It was reported that only two employees were inside at the time of the fire.

No major injuries were reported. According to reports, one employee was checked out by paramedics for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
