Last night at about 7:30 pm, Tracy Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 100 block of Brannon Dr. Officers arrived locating two victims with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Both were transported to local area hospitals.

Tracy Police department assisted by Sacramento Police Department, apprehend the suspect on Florin Road early Wednesday morning.

The suspect, Gregory Castles, 36, of Sacramento knocked on the victims doors and started firing at them when they answered. The appears to have been unprovoked however, Castles was an acquaintance of one of the victims.

Castles was located in Sacramento and arrested with the assistance of the Sacramento Police Department. A search warrant at his residence resulted in the recovery of evidence of the shooting to include what is believed to be the firearm used.

Castles was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for attempted homicide.
