Around 9:45 a.m. Monday, Sacramento police officers responded to FOX40 on Fruitridge Road near Lawrence Drive for a reported suspicious package on the front side of the building.

Due to the location where the box was placed and not knowing the contents inside, officers set up a perimeter in the parking lot, and requested the Bomb Squad (EOD) and Hazardous Materials Team (Hazmat) to respond.

Throughout the morning, the EOD and Hazmat personnel conducted their investigation, which included setting up a portable x-ray to help determine what may be inside.

EOD and Hazmat personnel concluded the contents of the box were not explosive or dangerous around 12 p.m. A search inside the box found various items include informational papers, food items, and other things considered "junk".
