SHERIFF: Homicide Investigation, Pasadena Avenue, North Highlands, October 27, 2019

THIS IS A DIRECT REPOST FROM THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF's OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE

At approximately 3:50 a.m. on October 27, 2019, the Sacramento Sheriff’s Communication Center received a call regarding someone shot in the 5100 block of Pasadena Avenue in Sacramento.

Deputies arrived at the scene and located an unidentified male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Deputies immediately began life saving measures. Fire personnel responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses described seeing a male flee the scene after the shooting occurred. There is no known motive at this time. Homicide detectives are on scene and their investigation is on-going.

The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification of next of kin.
