At 12:59 p.m. on August 10, 2019, the Sheriff’s Communication Center received a 911 call regarding the sounds of gunshots near Florin Road and Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento. The caller stated their vehicle was struck by gun fire while driving through the intersection and that multiple vehicles were attempting to flee the area.

The caller updated the location a few minutes later to the intersection of 65th Street and Stockton Boulevard where several shell casings were found. Deputies made contact with the caller whose vehicle had multiple gun shots. No one inside this vehicle was hit.

At approximately 1:20PM, the Sacramento Police Department contacted the Sheriff’s Communication Center and reported that two subjects presented themselves at the Kaiser South Emergency Department with gunshot wounds. Both subjects are being treated for their injuries. Detectives are on-scene and beginning their investigation. The motive of the shooting is unknown at this time.
