Just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a large party where shots were fired in the 11000 block of Fair Oaks Boulevard in Fair Oaks. Upon arrival, deputies located a male subject in the roadway suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Several of the party-goers understandably fled the area after the shooting. Detectives are asking anyone who attended the party to please contact the Sheriff’s Office so they may obtain important information about this incident.
Homicide detectives are currently on scene, along with Crime Scene Investigators. No motive is known at this time.
The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification of next of kin.
