THIS IS A DIRECT REPOST FROM THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF's OFFICE

Just after 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a male shot in a vehicle in the 8200 block of Andalusian Drive in South Sacramento. Upon arrival, deputies located a blue SUV with a male in the driver’s seat suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Three additional males were with the victim at the time of the shooting and indicated the driver lost control of the vehicle after he was shot. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a SMUD power box in front of a residence on Andalusian Drive.

Homicide detectives are currently on scene, along with Crime Scene Investigators. No motive is known at this time. No further information is available.

The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after notification of next of kin.
