Around 12:40 a.m. Sunday, a black colored Chevrolet Spark sedan was traveling on the 15th Street on ramp to westbound US-50. For unknown reasons the sedans right side tires left the roadway and traveled into the dirt to the right of the roadway. The sedan traveled approximately 100 feet before the right front collided into a concrete sign post foundation. This collision caused the sedan to become airborne and rotate 180 degrees coming to rest with the driver side door against a tree. The sedan became fully engulfed and the two female occupants were unable to exit the vehicle. Both parties in the sedan sustained fatal injuries as a result of this collision. Identification of the deceased will be handled by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office.
