Just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, police, fire, and medical crews were dispatched for a vehicle accident on Sutterville Road, just east of Interstate 5.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the driver of a gold-colored Honda Accord was traveling at well-below the posted speed limit on Interstate 5, nearly causing several collisions with other vehicles. The driver then exited at Sutterville Road. While going eastbound on Sutterville Road, the driver traveled at high speeds. At some point, the driver crossed over into oncoming traffic. The driver then crashed into a white pickup truck, careened up an embankment, and crashed into a nearby cyclone fence.

Fortunately, police say there were only very minor injuries sustained in the collisions.

The driver of the Honda Accord was barely able to stand, and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.

Sutterville Road was shut down in both directions until the scene was cleared by police and fire personnel.
