Carjacking
1300 block of Florin Rd

Officers responded for a report of a carjacking. Officers arrived and contacted the victim whom was injured during the incident. Officers determined the female victim was using the atm while she left her car running close by. The unknown suspects approached the victim and got into her vehicle. The victim attempted to stop the suspects by getting in her backseat. The suspect in the passenger seat then fled on foot through the parking lot while the driver fled in the vehicle, hitting a security guard whom was on foot in the parking lot attempting to help the victim. The suspect continued to flee, hitting parked vehicles and driving onto the lawn of a school. The victim fell out of the vehicle and sustained some injuries. The suspect continued to flee and then abandoned the vehicle in a nearby neighborhood. The victim was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Responding officers canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. No arrests have been made at this point.
