Officers responded to the park regarding a juvenile that was hit in the face with a bottle. Officers arrived and determined an outdoor gathering was being held at a restaurant. A female transient began stealing food from the patrons and when asked to leave she threw a glass at a 9-year-old boy in the group. The boy was struck with pieces of shattered glass and received minor cuts to his face. Citizens detained the female until police arrived. The female suspect was arrested for assault charges and transported to jail.
