SHOOTING INVESTIGATION
24th Street at Fruitridge Road

"Officers were called to the area regarding reports of a subject who had been shot," said Detective Eddie Macaulay, spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department. "When officers arrived they located a subject with a gunshot wound and immediately began rendering medical aid.
"The victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment by the Sacramento Fire Department. The subject was listed in serious condition at the hospital.
"The investigation remains ongoing and no arrests were made at the time of the incident. The case was forwarded to investigators for additional follow-up."
