Friday morning, employees of the new Amazon Fulfillment Center, SMF-1, were advised by a robocall, that fourteen vehicles had been burglarized in the employee parking lot Thursday night.

Spokesperson for the Sacramento Sheriff's Department, Sergeant Shaun Hampton, stated, "We did respond to the 4900 block of W. Elkhorn on 09/07/2018 for reported vehicle burglaries, which likely occurred on the night of 09/06/2018 (Thursday).  In total we have taken 13 vehicle burglary reports. We are following up with our detective units and are awaiting video evidence from the business.

Security has been increased in the employee parking lot as a result of this incident.
