18-061545 (Wanted Person): 1600 block of Vallejo Way

Officers conducted a vehicle enforcement stop in the area. The passenger fled on foot and ran through a portion of McClatchy High School soccer field. The suspect did not remain on campus but fled into the residential neighborhood nearby. The school administration as well as the School Resource Officers remained in constant communication, ensuring the safety of the campus. The suspect was not located, and additional follow-up is being conducted by investigators.
EDITORS NOTE: Additionally, according to police radio traffic, the suspect was a black, male, adult in his 20’s with shoulder length dreadlocks, a parolee at large, and fled through yards in the area, ditching a loaded handgun in one yard, which was recovered. About 6:30pm, a caller, at the house where the gun was recovered, stated that several subjects came to her home wanting to look in her back yard for a lost cell phone, and she thought it might be related to the previous incident, but they had already left. One of the subjects matched the description of the suspect. Officers checked the area. To our knowledge, no arrests have been made and remains under investigation.
