Victim Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Crash in Elk Grove

ELK GROVE, Calif. – An investigation is underway after a vehicle accident left one person with life-threatening injuries this afternoon.

Around 12:10 p.m. Saturday, Elk Grove police officers and paramedics responded to Laguna Boulevard just west of Bruceville Road after callers reported two vehicles had crashed.

When officers arrived, they found a pickup truck with major front-end damage and airbags deployed crashed into a sedan. A victim from one of the vehicles was reported to be under CPR by a police officer until paramedics arrived. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. One of the victim has life-threatening injuries. The extent or severity of injuries on the other victims was unknown at the time of posting.

Laguna Boulevard was closed between Laguna Park Drive and Bruceville Road while Elk Grove Police Department’s Traffic Unit investigated the collision.
