SACRAMENTO, Calif. – An investigation is underway after a shooting in a north Sacramento neighborhood.
Around 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, Sacramento police officers responded to a reported shooting that just occurred on the 2300 block of Boxwood Street in the Old North Sacramento neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they were notified that the shooting victim had arrived at a residence on the 2300 block of Empress Street. The victim was transported to the hospital by paramedics. The severity of injuries has not been confirmed, but police radio traffic indicates the injuries are non-life-threatening.
Police officers along with Crime Scene Investigations and the Sacramento Police Gang Unit are investigating the shooting and have yet to release a suspect description.
