ELK GROVE, Calif. – Police are investigating a late-night shooting into an Elk Grove home.
Around 9:50 p.m. Sunday, Elk Grove police officers responded to a home on the 8800 block of Wild Duck Court for reports of shots heard. The neighborhood is near Calvine Road and Elk Grove Florin Road.
Officers arrived and found that an occupied home had been struck by a bullet fired by an unknown person.
Officers located physical evidence that a handgun had been fired in the area on Black Kite Drive.
The investigation is ongoing; no suspect description has been released at the time of posting.
