SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Detectives are investigating after a person was shot outside a Natomas restaurant.

At 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, Sacramento police officers responded to the IHOP restaurant parking lot on Advantage Way and East Commerce Way for a shooting.

Officers arrived and found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives and CSI responded to the scene to begin canvassing the area for evidence and talk to witnesses.

Detectives believe the shooting occurred after an altercation between a group of subjects that were videotaping each other fighting. The suspect is believed to have fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. No arrests have been made.
