SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Deputies are currently searching for a suspect who ran from them after a pursuit in the Oak Park neighborhood.
Around 5:45 Wednesday evening, a Sacramento Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle sped up and lead the deputy on a pursuit for a few minutes through the Oak Park community.
The driver drove down the dead-end street of San Carlos Way south of 8th Avenue where he stopped his vehicle and ran through a nearby park.
The suspect was located around 6:00 by the Sheriff’s helicopter a short distance from the pursuit ending location. The suspect was taken into custody by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department
