SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Firefighters are working a 2-alarm structure fire call in South Sacramento. 

Just after 8:15 Thursday night, firefighters responded to Lotus Avenue near 15th Avenue for a reported structure fire. 

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found heavy fire and smoke showing, and immediately called for a second alarm to be dispatched. It was unclear at the time of posting if the structure affected was a residence or commercial occupancy. 

Per incident radio traffic, all windows on the affected structure were blown out. It’s unclear what started the fire at this time, however investigators have been called to the scene.
