ELK GROVE – Detectives are trying to figure out who robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon in Elk Grove. 

Officers from the Elk Grove Police Department responded around 12:13 Tuesday afternoon for a robbery that just occurred at the Chase Bank on Elk Grove Blvd near Franklin Blvd. 

Officials say the suspect came into the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding money. Fearing for their safety, the teller complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of currency. The suspect then fled on foot westbound from the business. 

The suspect is discribed as a white male adult in his 20s to 30s, 5 foot 11 inches, around 200 pounds, last seen wearing a San Francisco Giants baseball cap, blue shirt and blue jeans (see photo below). He did not appear to be armed at the time of the robbery. 

No one was injured in the incident and only a few customers were inside the bank at the time of the robbery.
