Officials are investigating a bus vs pedestrian incident that occurred just after 7am today on N Street at 5th. PSN has seen surveillance footage of the incident showing the female pedestrian entering the crosswalk on the green. walking north on the east side of the intersection. Moments later a North bound Eldorado Transit bus turned right (east) onto N from 5th, running the pedestrian over and dragging her before coming to a stop adjacent to the Bank of the West parking garage entrance. The pedestrian’s shoes could be seen laying in the street back by the crosswalk.
Sac Fire extricated the victim from under the bus and she was transported to an area hospital by paramedics in unknown condition.
