SACRAMENTO, CA – Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened in North Sacramento late Thursday evening.

Around 10:22 Thursday evening, Sacramento Police responded to the 3700 block of Jasmine Street near Roanoke Way for reports of shots fired and person down.

When officers arrived they found one person shot and requested fire to respond immediately.

Police have not released any suspect information, however police radio traffic indicated a vehicle was seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting.

The victim was transported by Sacramento Fire to a local area hospital for treatment.
