SACRAMENTO, CA (Natomas) – Detectives have arrested the son of a woman found deceased and buried in the backyard of a Natomas home Thursday evening.

On Thursday evening around 7:45, officers from the Sacramento Police Department arrived at a residence in the 1300 block of Trail End Way for a fight call.

When officers arrived, they determined two family members had just been involved in a physical fight. After separating the two adult male family members, officers discovered what appears to be a deceased body of a female, concealed under dirt and debris in the backyard.

Multiple witnesses from the neighborhood were also interviewed by police.

At this time, detectives believe this incident is not a random act, and they continue to actively determine the circumstances surrounding this case. The identity of the victim is pending the coroner’s examination.
