RANCHO CORDOVA, CA – Firefighters from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District rescued a kitten from a storm drain Tuesday morning in Rancho Cordova.
Metro Fire says the kitten was stuck in the storm drain for two days. Attempts to lure the kitten out of the storm drain by concerned neighbors using cat toys and sardines failed. The kitten was weak and hungry being in there for so long.
Fast forward to Tuesday morning, and the crew from Engine 61 were able to successfully pull “Stormy”, as the kitten is now being called, out of the storm drain without causing any harm.
