On Saturday, February 15, 2014, at approximately 2:38 p.m., officers responded to a residence regarding a report of an infant not breathing.

Officers rushed to the home, along with the Sacramento Fire Department who declared the 3-month-old female child deceased at the scene.

The specific circumstances as to how the child passed away were not immediately clear and detectives were called out to assist with the investigation.  CSI also responded to assist with documenting the scene.  A cause of death is pending the coroner’s investigation.
