At approximately 7:25pm last night, January 18, 2014, the Sacramento Sheriff’s Communications Center received multiple 9-1-1 calls regarding reports of a man who was shot in the courtyard of an apartment complex located in the 4700 block of Marconi Avenue. When Deputies arrived, they began life-saving efforts on the male, who was soon declared deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives arrived on scene and are currently seeking information on the motive of this shooting and identity of the subject(s) involved. The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, after notification has been made to his next of kin.
