Sacramento Police assist Winters Police Homicide detectives in North Sacramento.
Area law enforcement are searching for William Carl Gardner III who may be in Sacramento.
Police say Gardner shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, 32-year-old Leslie Pinkston, Monday morning in Downtown Winters.
The vehicle Gardner was last seen in was found Monday night near Silverton Way and Gunnison Ave. in North Sacramento and a home in the area was searched by the Sacramento Police Department but Gardner was not located.
William Carl Gardner III is 30- years-old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 186 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and tan pants with side pockets.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Winters Police Department at 530-795-4561. Gardner is considered armed and dangerous.
