Roseville, CA | Minding his own business, out for a walk, a Roseville pedestrian is killed by an alleged intoxicated and reckless driver.

Roseville police responded to a call of a reckless driver around 8 pm Tuesday evening, according to Roseville Police Department.

Officers  found the suspected driver at a recycle center on Washington Blvd. When police tried to block the suspect  from leaving,  the suspect pushed their patrol car into a field before taking off southbound on Washington Blvd.

Before the officers could get back to their vehicle, the suspected reckless driver was involved in an accident at the intersection of Washington Blvd and Main Street.

Three vehicles were involved in the incident. Two people were transported to the hospital and a pedestrian was killed.

Oleg Tarasuk and another driver involved in the wreck were taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. After being medically cleared, Tarasuk was arrested on felony charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics and gross vehicular manslaughter. His bail was set at $275,000, Roseville Press Tribune reported.
