Sacramento, CA | Firefighters respond to third fire in vacant South area dealership

Sacramento Firefighters responded to the old vacant car dealership at the corner of Franklin and Florin Friday afternoon for the third time in two weeks. Assistant Chief Niko King stated that they expect to be responding to the structure again and have been pre-planning.

King stressed that fires in these types of structures are extremely dangerous for firefighters; conditions can rapidly change trapping them deep in the structure.  King stated that these types of fires have historically been firefighter killers.
