Sacramento, CA | An estranged relationship leads to murder and suicide in the Meadowview area of Sacramento.
Early Sunday morning officers responded to a report of shots fired at an apartment in the 1600 block of Meadowview Rd according to Andrew Pettit, Sergeant, Sacramento Police Department.
Pettit stated that when officers arrived they found one female had been shot and killed and a male subject was shot in the lower body.
The surviving male advised police that the suspect left in a red vehicle. That vehicle was found occupied by an air unit in the area of Franklin Blvd and Sims Rd.
When officers arrived to that location, SWAT was dispatched. It was later discovered that the male suspect shot and killed himself.
