Rio Linda, CA | Three escaped a small aircraft crash near Sacramento Saturday evening.

A small twin-engine aircraft went down in a field in Rio Linda Saturday evening as it was in route to McClellan Airfield in Citrus Heights.

According to reports, the 1979 76 Duchess Beechcraft airplane had flown out of Visalia and according to public records is registered out of Beaverton, Oregon.

Three men were aboard the four-seater aircraft when the left engine failed and then the right according to FAA. All three men escaped the crash with minor injuries; however, the aircraft sustained significant damage.
