Sacramento, CA | Shots were fired at deputies Tuesday evening as they approached an apartment in South Sacramento. While five people left the apartment, a sixteen year old girl remained of her own will.

When deputies approached the apartment of a known felon Tuesday evening, the subject fired a shotgun at deputies. Deputies were not struck and quickly took cover. 

A full SWAT call-out ensued and an entire apartment complex has been evacuated.

The situation is ongoing and fluid said Jason Ramos, spokesman for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.

The suspect requested food and a care package of burgers and cigarettes was delivered
