Sacramento, CA | Mid morning Thursday Sacramento Police were called to the Laguna Creek area for a shooting. When they arrived they found one deceased and one in critical condition from gunshot wounds.

Sacramento Police say that one male in his 50’s is dead and a woman in her 40’s is seriously injured, both from gunshots wounds. At this point the motive for the shooting is unknown and unknown who the shooter was per Sacramento Police spokesperson, Laura Peck.

Per SacPD, based on the preliminary investigation, detectives do not believe it was a random act, nor was it a hate crime. Investigators have yet to identify a suspect(s) but he was described as a male dark skinned, short, thin build, short hair, wearing a yellow sweatshirt. He fled the scene in a gold vehicle.
