Sacramento, CA | Apartment complex tenants where an early morning blaze erupted, describe the scene as pandemonium.

When an apart went up in flames, early Friday morning, in an apartment complex in the area of Fair Oaks Blvd. and Howe Ave., neighbors ran door to door getting everybody out of their apartments.

“It was pandemonium, it was crazy seeing everyone running around knocking on doors. I started knocking on doors myself” Cory Crawford stated.

When firefighters arrived, an apartment on the bottom floor was fully involved with fire. “Engine 105 arrived and made an interior attack on the fire, there was nobody inside and the rest went well” Daren Taylor, Metro Fire Battalion Chief stated.

Despite a brief water supply challenge, crews made an aggressive and rapid knock down on the fire containing the blaze to a single apartment unit.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
