Sacramento, CA  | There’s one less empty bed at Sacramento County Jail after a high-speed pursuit ended Tuesday evening, at the McDonalds at Power Inn Rd. and Fruitridge.  California Highway Patrol booked a male subject who fled after stealing a pickup.

Sacramento Police and Sheriff both joined the pursuit which reached speeds of 80+ miles per hour and ended up hitting the McDonalds sign, another vehicle and filling the restaurant parking lot with debris.  CHP booked the subject on felony charges of hit and run, fleeing officers, and driving a stolen vehicle.  More charges may be filed later against the driver.

CHP says the driver has an addiction to Meth-amphetamines but it is unknown if drugs played a role in the incident.
