18-069430 (Pursuit): South Ave / Dry Creek Rd at 0026 hours.
Gang officers conducted a traffic stop in the area. As officers exited their vehicle to make contact with the driver, the driver fled in the vehicle leading officers on a short pursuit. The driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed at Bell and Marysville where the occupants then exited and fled on foot. One of the passengers that fled was observed by officers pulling a gun from his pants in an effort to discard it. The other three occupants fled in different directions. Officers were able to apprehend the male and take him into custody. The male suspect was arrested on firearm related charges.
