RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – A small fire inside a Rancho Cordova warehouse led to the discovery of a marijuana grow.
Around 6:45 Saturday night, firefighters responded to a warehouse on the 3700 block of Omec Circle for a report of a fire.
When crews arrived, they found small fires burning inside the warehouse on the first and second floors. A quick fire attack was taken, and the fires were extinguished within a matter of minutes.
While working on the fire, crews located an unknown sized marijuana grow inside the warehouse and requested the Rancho Cordova Police Department to respond and investigate.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District. It is currently unknown if the marijuana grow had a part in the cause of the fire.
